It is the goal of George Ruggiero's Breeding and Racing to breed quality, period. The thoroughbred business is loaded with breeders that play the numbers game, "breed the best to the best", or breed for the commercial ring. And while there are a number of consistent breeders to respect highly, the goal of George Ruggiero is to always strive for the highest quality individuals.
Not all great racehorses are the highest quality physicals, not all highest quailty physical horses are the best racehorses. Finding the balance to strike genetic gold is at the heart of everything George Ruggiero does, from mating mares to selecting bloodstock. George Ruggiero wants its equine product to become synonymous with being at the top of the thoroughbred population in conformation, soundness, ability, and pedigree.
